I often see tiny dogs with cute outfits and warm clothing. I am a chicken farmer so I am a realist in many ways but I want to dress my dog too! It gets really cold in the winter and she has a short coat sooo:

She has a coat for outside when it is below freezing and a couple of T shirts. I used to be a crazy chicken lady but now I'm a crazy chicken and dog lady, lol.

She also unmakes the bed when she naps.

the notion of dressing animal never hit my radar hard enough to form opinions until my 2 foster daughters (4 and 7) joined the farmyard. dressing up their little 5 pound cur dog is funner than dressing their pedigree barbies. it's enough to get me wishing i wasn't feeling too lazy to go hunting for the queen bee costume. 5 pounds is BIG for a queen bee. i'll let you try to imagine from the donkey odie costume.

We’re all about dressing up dogs! We use it at work occasionally to help our pups who are struggling with body sensitivities.

My little fella has very pink skin over a lot of his body, and when he’s had a particularly short hair cut, I will sometimes cover him up a bit to keep him from getting sunburned.

This is him joining the tradies in his Hi-Viz at the local hardware warehouse…

I grew up training horses.

I’ve used exactly that style of “spring” or “shorty” blanket on countless horses in spring/fall (as well as the bigger/heavy/waterproof version in winter, that starts at their ears and drops halfway down their legs), as well as leg wraps, & hoods.

Easier to warm up a thin skinned Arabian or TBred, built for deserts and speed, than to cool off a heavy coated, fuel burning draft or drey, in the insufferable heat. Most of the time. Usually. Known a few arabs who were Houndini about their blankets. Get it off off off!

Practical is, as practical does. 😎

What breed is you little fella? Or is he a mix and if so of what? my neighbors looks a lot like him and he’s a Maltese mixed with something. My one dog had an orange vest but it and a faux work belt and came with a yellow hard hat…as a costume. 😁

Our lady boxer lab was one of the kids growing up. She would tolerate anything the girls wanted to dress her up in, gladly. I was commenting on it today and my wife reminds me that she let them paint her toenails! Front and back? Yes! Twice! I didn't remember that, now I remember that great lady in a different light. What a dog!
