Prazosin And Night Sweats Experience?

My doctor recently put me on Prazosin to help me with night sweats that I believe are a result of PTSD, although I don't always remember having a dream. Just curious- has anyone had success with Prazosin cutting back, or even better, curing their night sweats?

I get night sweats from Trazadone, which I take for sleep. They were every night for quite awhile, but now after a few months, the sweats rarely occur...

I had them for years. Total drag. Sleeping in sweat pants and sweat shirt kept me dry. They wick away the sweat. No meds helped me.

They went with my night terrors and nightmares and I don't much get them anymore. They won't last forever.

Can't say a thing good about Prazosin-had a bad experience. Just know that it can take many attempts to find the right med.
Be persistent in asking for other meds to try.

I can say, that waking up with night sweats was the beginning of a thread, that led me to the unraveling of my own yarn (of stored traumatic events). Just keep being curious, gently asking your dreams/nightmares to keep revealing the next layer, then the next, etc.

I took natural sleep aids, and did mindfulnesss meditation, during the 10 years of dream escavation. Those helped. Make sure to check drug interactions.

Yeah I started having night sweats after the trauma but I don't have dreams where I reenact things or have flashbacks...I just have horrid night sweats...sometimes I remember the dream and don't have sweats, sometimes I do remember a dream and it's very negative but I don't necessarily see how it's connected to the trauma but I wake up in an absolute pool...there doesn't seem to be an obvious pattern!

I am on Prazosin and it helps with reducing nightmares.

However, I do know when I have a bad dream by how I react when I get up. Do I remember what dream was about? No and Yes. No - It would be gone and can't remember. Yes - Spotty or some section does not make any sense.

I do get nightmare sometimes anyway.

Do I get sweaty? Yes, sometimes.

I do not have night sweats although I think I had them once. I cannot live without Prazosin for it has gotten me through the worst nightmares I've ever had.
