What's the link between PTSD and poor sexual performance, especially vets?

I would imagine, based on experience with my vet that it is two things:

1. Ability to Focus. If there is too much going on inside their head at any given moment, they may not be able to focus on the act.
2. Side Effects. The pharmacy of pills they stuff into these vets is ridiculous. Many have side effects, like ED.

Based on my experience with my vet, he has zero interest in intimacy. When he does, he'd rather take care of himself with porn. It seems like nothing I do - texts during the day, a suggestive photo, etc. - have any impact. Most of the time, he doesn't even bother responding. Then all the sudden, after weeks of not even a hug or pat on the head, he wants to have sex. It's quick and mechanical.

It comes and goes depending on their stress cup status and what meds their being fed. Injuries can play a part too.

2 - It's hard to feel all sexy when you suddenly taste brains and blood and smoke, and see dead kids, and want to puke.

My vet watches porn A LOT. He puts it on when I'm visiting and its sex time. We don't kiss (it's too intimate for him) and so making out doesn't happen. He gets hard from the porn and I usually give him oral while he's watching porn. Then we go to the bedroom and play. Sometimes it's very hard for him to finish. I personally think he masterbates to porn too much and it makes it hard for him to finish with another person.
