I know some people here are very clued up on theory, so I wondered if anyone knows much about R D Laing's work?
I've had no awareness of this until going to the Turner Prize exhibition and seeing a film incorporating his views on psychiatry and schizophrenia. It was really interesting. When I googled it, I found out he was influential on transpersonal therapy, which is the type of therapy I'm doing.
If anyone's familiar with his work, is there a book of his that you recommend to get an overall view? I'd like to read something but he seems to have written a lot and I don't want to read a lot! I don't know if any are more general or whether he focussed mostly on schizophrenia. More general would be more relevant to me, and hopefully not too long or hard to read.
