Self harming behaviours

I'd love to be able to look at it as just something else to work on but it feels like I'm touching something fundamental to me, the core of me if you like.

I also feel like Im getting to the core of me or of the trauma, if not there then damn close and close enough to feel the intense pain there.

I also know that shame is a good mechanism for keeping me back from stuff I need to deal with.

I see shame as a self judgement. It certianly does keep you back from dealing with stuff you need to, so shed the shame and you get a road to that stuff that needs to be dealt with is how I see it.
