So, finally my body has given in - had pretty bad panic attack yesterday that freaked me out and scared me big time. Made emergency appointment to see GP and been signed off for the week. Am gutted :( Really hard as still on the manic side so need to do stuff, but am also very shaky so achieving anything (I have been getting crafty) has been really hard... Sigh... Body sore and still struggling with breathing and palpitations. I always feel worse when not working but no choice right now....
 
It's good you know when to not push yourself too far. Hopefully you'll feel better soon.
 
@Maggiemay I feel being signed off with my PTSD is no different to being signed off with a broken leg.

I hate not working but know that I need a break as well. Keep strong Maggiemay.

Thanks guys. Just hard as New job and now feel like I've tainted it... Sigh... Hopefully they'll be supportive and not gossip etc like old work. Feels similar to how it all started 2 yrs ago so am worrying. Hey ho, need to listen to my body I guess...
 
I've been there not that long ago - take the time you need to catch your breath and recover a bit, it doesn't need to be a long term absence but do think about the support you need in and out of work before going back. It sucks to Geoff whe it wouldn't have been your choice but sometimes needs must!
 
I feel with you. I had the same thing last year and was so anxious and couldn't stop crying - so I had to call in sick. If your daily life is structured by work, it's really hard to call in sick.

But your mind and your body seem to need the rest. I hope that you can get some rest so you can calm down on your inside again. It really helped me that I wasn't alone during this period of time. Maybe you have someone close to you, who might spend some time with you, talk to you. I wouldn't have called in sick if my best friend weren't there. She told me so - and in the end, it was the best choice.

I really hope for you that your time out will help you, so you will feel less anxious.
