Thank you all so much for your help with this. I've decided to go with the Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Workbook (McKay, Wood, Brantley) initially, because it s so readily available and so widely recommended. I'm also going to take some of the worksheets out of the Anxiety section of Overcoming Trauma and PTSD: A Workbook Integrating Skills from ACT, DBT, and CBT, (the book I dissociated buying and starting two years ago) because they specifically focus on establishing breathing, relaxation and grounding practice, and the reasons why that can be a challenge.

Now, what may be a silly question.
Practice is your friend. Do a little bit each and every day and over time it all builds up.
had to do things over and over
make sure you go slowly enough to truly think about it.

How much time, how often would you give to this? Beyond personal preference, are there advantages in frequent short sessions over longer ones? How long has it taken you to go through a chapter.

How long has it taken you to go through a chapter.

Depends on the Chapter as some is shorter and some longer and some more and less writing (and im dyslexic) but the fact that you do have to write to, Id go as slow as it takes you to understand and write what you are to understand and write. Make sense? I dont see an average time or average slowness.
