I did this, specific and attainable goals. It changed my entire life.
My list had things like go to a gym, have a training session with a trainer, get a pelvic exam, do yoga, see a therapist, have a pedicure, have a massage, see a nutritionist, see a weight loss doctor, get my hair cut...
I also made a promise to pick professionals who I knew were qualified and then at minium give their advice a really solid try even if it seemed crazy. That has really paid off.
So I lost over a hundred lbs (and am maintaining at a size 6/8), I am in shape and run/train/work out/yoga/etc. I am up to date on my wellness check ups, I have had massages (which I could afford more!), pedicures (but tend to give my self some on my own),have had my hair cut many times. And I see a therapist. A female therapist! For 16 months nearly. I changed my entire life over the span of about 2 years.
I just picked the next one to do that seemed less scary until I had everything done. Seeing a t was prety close to the end of my list. But I feel inspired by all of you to do more, because I am stagnating.
