Thank you @berlinda, @Lucycat & @Friday and anyone I have missed :)

I'm in the throws of making a huge batch of tomato soup for the freezer & will be grabbing the last off the vines tomorrow.

I think I will have to give soup away too. I have relatives that will eat that.

Nobody else has tomato's left... and I feel odd bc they are currently sitting at over $8.00 per kilo...

I was more than a month late planting them which has translated into a very late harvest. The Sun is still making it's presence known here in no uncertain terms - so many still ripening.

Nobody else still has them on the vine but I'm presently up to my eyeballs in them. And eggplants too. So it's kind of good in a way. :)

Reminded me (gee, two a.m. thoughts can be sometimes more input), have you thought of some combination of gulash / paprikashes? That food can feed a whole house and be lasting quite a time too.

Your 2 am thoughts are inspiring - I'm going to make a chunky tomato pasta sauce with paprika and other secret herbs n spices. lol...

I'll probably raid the pantry in the middle of Winter and not remember or recognise any of the jars or creations I've made.. :wtf:
