What Did You Eat And Drink Last?

Food today pretty much thrown together but tasted good so heh

Breakfast - fried egg, lemon n parsley mackeral (straight from the packet) baby plum tomatoes, a pickle n some courgette antipasti

Lunch, broccoli, edamame beans, fine green beans & chopped peanuts. Dressed with tamarind, soy sauce n garlic oil. Oh, and some crispy fried tofu with sriracha

Dinner, leftover pork, peas n instant Chip shop style curry sauce.

Oats, koko yogurt n linseeds

Lemon n chilli flavour lentil crisps.

Miso soup
Liquorice tea

Vegan "deli slices" - chickpea and red pepper with cashew nut cheese, alfalfa sprouts, chopped black olive & tomato with stone ground mustard on multigrain bread.... and 2 chocolate chip cookies as mom convinced me it was "national chocolate chip cookie day".

cashew nut cheese
I just made some of that (lemon juice, salt, pepper, & chive... was out of nutritional yeast, but wicked good without it after it sat 24 hours getting all cool & chivy, might actually prefer chive without N.Y., next time I’.l have to split the batch & find out) this weekend to stuff bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers!

If it wasn’t before? It IS now! :sneaky:

The Ides of May = Chocolate Chip Cookie Day... so say we all

So I've treated meself to another Yotam Ottolenghi cook book, this tome I got Simple. Already had Nopi (Me found it in the street amongst other books put out for people to take) and Plenty. But haven't cooked from em - mostly down to being dysfunctional.

So anyways I like the fact these recipes really are simple.

Today with my pork n beef burger in a wholemeal bap with ketchup & shallot I made cucumber n lamb's lettuce salad. Dressed with garlic, ginger, lemon juice, salt n yogurt.

Actually found myself saying out load Wow - a few times an all.

Just got home from the gym and I am huuuuuuungry.

Having a late breakfast of salt and pepper free-range chicken nibbles, and roast veges (butternut, orange kumara, capsicum, aubergine) on some shredded red cabbage.

With a cup of turmeric chicken bone broth, a cup of lemongrass rooibos tea, and a glass of water.
