Tried our best not to waste any of the pool water and used 5 gallon buckets to empty much of it and carried it to the raised beds, veggie and herb pots, and big garden since it's been so hot and dry. Whew!
Doing that reminds me why we never entertained the idea of a bigger above-ground or in-ground pool. Too much maintenance. This little kiddie pool is enough of a chore for these old bones. lol
I guess a filter and stuff/chemicals in the bigger ones would make it so it wouldn't need to be emptied and cleaned as often, but still gotta scoop leaves and bugs and such. Makes me appreciate it more, that's for sure.
It also makes me wish the tanks that catch the rain water were positioned a helluva lot closer to the garden and yarden spaces - and that the garden hose was long enough to reach it so I could put the pool there and just empty it straight into the garden. Hind sight, 20/20, ay?
