Harvested the last of the kale, collards, and spinach. Planning what to plant next in those spots.

Beets will be harvested in the morning for dinner tomorrow night, along with the plentiful harvest of peas we shelled last night.

Figuring out how much to share and how much to preserve this go 'round.

Got the entire yard mowed and it only took me 2 days this time. Glad I didn't listen to my stubborn self trying to convince me just a few more hours wouldn't hurt.

Soaked the shiitake mushroom log for a few hours in the mountain stream.

De-cluttered the kitchen island and dining room table.

Rewarded my multiple day efforts with a long foot soak in magnesium flakes and an ice pack on the back. May this ol' rickety meat coated skeleton remain kind to me as I rise in the morning.

Misspelled "sender".

The post lady bit couldn't even with me :hilarious:

Right, wrong language again. G'f*ck, letter difference.

Made the mistake of re-sealing the bath and forgetting how truly awful this task is.
But: I have achieved not swearing for the last 4 hours from when I started. (Still not finished, but it is still a massive achievement not to have used every expletive ever known).

Tried our best not to waste any of the pool water and used 5 gallon buckets to empty much of it and carried it to the raised beds, veggie and herb pots, and big garden since it's been so hot and dry. Whew!

Doing that reminds me why we never entertained the idea of a bigger above-ground or in-ground pool. Too much maintenance. This little kiddie pool is enough of a chore for these old bones. lol

I guess a filter and stuff/chemicals in the bigger ones would make it so it wouldn't need to be emptied and cleaned as often, but still gotta scoop leaves and bugs and such. Makes me appreciate it more, that's for sure.

It also makes me wish the tanks that catch the rain water were positioned a helluva lot closer to the garden and yarden spaces - and that the garden hose was long enough to reach it so I could put the pool there and just empty it straight into the garden. Hind sight, 20/20, ay?
