Thought of another one...
Going to go to the hardware store today. Hardware stores are one of my absolute favourite places on earth... Like libraries and being in nature, hardware stores are a perfect PTSD-antidote for me... Somehow the whole "DIY" spirit of hardware stores makes me feel empowered and strong and like I can build stuff and change stuff and make stuff happen and have tons of choices and can make "anything I can think of" - which are super excellent antidotes for PTSD feelings of "helplessness".
I love seeing all the amazing tools I could buy (tools for things I've never even heard of) and all the little bits and pieces and gadgets and things... To me it feels like a huge store full of "solutions to problems" and "tools for creating stuff".
If I ever win in the lotto, a huge part of that will be spent in hardware stores :roflmao::)
