Contract job at Yale terminated early because of a manager who swore at me and they felt threatened by me being a Marine Vet, having PTSD and they made me move my desk 2 isles over away from the rest of the team. My work performance was better than they people who were there 15 years.

Conversation with Thomas Senior Manager when the shift lead called me a liar and bullshitter. I was told not to return the day after.

This sucks, I'm so sorry to hear this. This sounds like a really shitty situation. Try to keep your head up, the manager sounds like a real tool. Semper Fidelis

Sucks when one is kicked out on a shallow basis. But you know, 1st grade people hire 1st grade people, 2nd grade people hire 3rd grade people because they don't want to feel endangered :)

It sounds like you were fired on the basis of being a veteran. That isn't legal. Can you talk to your contacts at the VA about this?

ETA: and having PTSD on top of that, which sounds like an ADA violation.

I am glad that in your post you acknowledge, "My work performance was better than they people who were there 15 years." Very self affirming, obviously they didn't deserve you and I hope that you'll secure a better position and pursue what Simon suggests.

In this P.C. world, anybody can pick nearly any dang thing to be "offended" or "threatened" by... it just keeps getting crazier all the time. I think I'd pursue it personally though.

Thanks for everyones kind words. I am still trying to find an attorney who will take this case. This isn't the first time I have been discriminated against almost every job I have had been lost to my illness and being a VET.
