Relationship I Don't Understand The Attacks Some Supporter Are Subjected To

You're living your life and one day you meet someone and instantly you click. Everything is better than good and then one day they're gone not physically but emotionally gone. Your world is falling apart and you're scrambling for answers. In the process you handle some things good and some not. So you come here to Myptsd and ask for help,and who do you run into a sufferer having a bad day and now you're under attack. Now you're lost because now you're expected to get everything just right for your sufferer. No one is born knowing how to deal with ptsd. We hurt too
 
Of course you do (sufferer here) I have even encouraged my spouse to look into supporter resources. Dealing with those of us afflicted is not always a picnic (faaaar from it-but if we could change it, believe me, we would).

Take care of yourself, or you can't help anyone, let alone deal with whatever your sufferer is dealing with.

I don't know your situation, but I agree. Being attacked is *not* okay. Unfortunately: internet.

I'm hoping you feel better soon.

I read your report; you were not being attacked.

On MyPTSD, challenging someone's stance is a very valid way to support them. If you are looking to just vent, you can include that information in your post - or, start a diary, which is a more protected space for things like that.

Sufferers have been made aware that they can be over-reactive in the Supporter forum; but that was not the case, in the post you are referring to.

Starting a thread to complain about the community isn't a good way to get on, here. I'm locking this. Please look over the community constitution to get a better feel for what we consider attack, and why both validation and challenge is useful in all areas of PTSD, for sufferers and supporters alike.
