What Did You Eat And Drink Last?

I had some grilled chicken ravioli with parmesan cheese and olive oil for supper. I also had some prunes. I am still in the mood for something, probably a beverage.

I actually had a beer this afternoon! I have not had one in years. I stopped off at our town's brewery and it was really good. I had never been there for a beer before. It is "craft beer" the sign says. I am not quite sure what that means, but it was darker in color than the usual golden yellow that I remember beer looks like. However, it was not as dark as some of the dark beers I have had in the past either. Anyway, I sat there for an hour or so and watched someone messing up royally playing golf on TV. This guy was missing more holes than he was making! He was supposedly a pro. I guess it was his "off day." Anyway, I just sat there for an hour or so and sipped slowly. I did not want the beer to react badly with my meds, so that was why I took it nice and easy.

Prepackaged tofu, diet soda

I've heard that tempeh (fermented tofu) is even better and more nutritious than the unfermented kind, without the soy allergy/sensitivity issues. Got a block of it from the Asian store in the fridge, need to find a recipe to test-drive it with.

But for now, it's homestyle black beans and rice with tomatoes, onions, and probably a dash of homemade adobo seasoning for a bit of oomph. Muy bien, disfrutar el sabor! (Very good, savor the flavor!)

It’s not my favorite thing, but if you have the time to slice it thin & let it marinade w pickling / corning spices, and fry it, it makes a pretty mean Reuben Sandwich.

Similarly, it will crumble well into chili.

That’s kind of the theme for tempeh... overwhelming flavors & textures needed.
