Last night I put on a pot of pasta...then forgot about it for an hour.

A month into the hyper arousal, I turned on the wrong burner - had a plate on the wrong burner while the food was obviously not cooking because the burner wasn't on. And the plate just exploded - scared the you know what out of me and had me in tears... now it's a little funnier or maybe it's this thread, but oh yea!! lol

It’s kind of sad how non functional I can be.

I’m trying to laugh about it.

My counselor lent me a book to read called Why God is Laughing by Deepak Chopra, foreword and dedication to Mike Myers the funny guy.

I still reading book but from what i gather it says laughter helps us accept and overcome fears. When we laugh God is laughing with us too and that separation between man/God dissapears.

Um.. I moved here last September and I still have not unpacked my suitcases. I am just living out of them - washing, folding and putting most of it back in them. I have some cupboards that I could put them in...but I haven't opened them yet and the suitcases are open. Sigh... Idk why.....

I moved into a new place last summer and couldn’t figure out how to organize for work to start back to school. ( Boxes everywhere- I only needed drawers- I had to have drawers) Caused a total meltdown-never been w/o a dresser before and plastic containers- a solution suggested to me was totally out of the question. I had to have a dresser-My best friend bought me a used dresser the next day and said here’s a present then life was back in balance- whew!

Having to drive back to the house three times to get the things I forgot.
I know that we’ll!

I live in a one bedroom apartment and have it filled with all kinds of decorations that I have NO IDEA where most of them came from. I have drawers full of stuff that I cannot recall buying either. I am in my mid-60s, so this is (I guess) normal. I have all kinds of stuff I do not use, nor wear. Every once in awhile I will look around my home and think to myself, "Where on earth did all this stuff come from!?!"

I knew I had family somewhere in this world! I think I have just met some long lost relatives!!! We must all share the same genetic flaws!!!! I hate to dust. I have a knick knack shelf I have not dusted for two years! I am short and it is on the wall so a ladder is needed to get to it. So, my motto is "If I can't see it, it is just fine". and to friends..."If it bothers you, clean it." This goes for the top of the refrigerator, too. :D I want to straighten up things, but when I look at it, I am overwhelmed, and just walk away. I used to put all paperwork in grocery bags and put them in the closet. When tax season came along, I would grab them and give them to hubby to go through. I was scared to throw any official looking document out. Now it all simply gets stacked in hubby's office. My art room is trashed. Having moved it recently, things are stacked and dumped on my work tables. I can pack and store large items but when it comes to all the small things like pencils, paper clips, tapes, etc, I am totally overwhelmed and don't know what to do with them. I am not a detail person. It takes me forever to find homes for the little things. Drives me more nuts than I already am! It is such a comfort to know so many of you have difficulty with doing "things"!!!!! I, too, have boxes that have not been unpacked from our move over two years ago. Ugh!

This morning, after a night without sleep I tried to put a wash on. Nothing happened. Cue me staring at it for five minutes, staring at the wall switch, which was on, hunting out the extension lead behind the machine, through cobwebs and past random bottle tops that has fallen behind it, and moving the plugs to different sockets. Still nothing. I stand back, thinking I really don't need something else going wrong. Then it dawned on me. I hadn't set the wash cycle. Some days I'm not safe to do anything.
