Sunshine but another weather front coming. Hope it has some rain in it. I know, I know all I think of is rain. :sorry: Major drought in progress.

So we got a few showers and that was a good start. I thought oh wow it is going to rain. It knows how to rain, hooray for the rain!!!
It didn't rain.

I don't want to be ungrateful but we need some rain 2 - 3 weeks of it. Gentle steady rain...please...

If I'm whinging tell me to shut up...but we are having the worst drought since records began.

Wish I could ship ya' over what we've recently had, @blackemerald1 . It's been arriving all at once like monsoon conditions more often than not. Still have standing water in many places there usually isn't any, and the ground is rather swamp-like all over. I dig puddles and such, but...

Today is summery, hot, and humid with very few breezes and a few big fluffy marshmallow-ish looking clouds rolling in to combine with what's being laid out and steadily drowning out the sun. I loved seeing the new cloud atlas classification updates not too long ago. Endless opportunities for entertainment in this "real" world scenario we exist in. lol If I couldn't laugh about it, I'd go crazy (ier).

The drought has hit main stream media now and suddenly it has become a 24/7 news item. I don't think they understand that some parts of the country have been in drought already for between 2 and 5 years! Where have their minds been? Have they not noticed we had the hottest Summer on record and the driest Autumn and Winter too??

It is becoming a nightly news item with the anchor stating, 'and now we turn to our story on the drought...' And all the channels are doing it. The weather people are not so 'bright' when they say we are in for another cold but sunny day and no longer say stupid things about it not needing an umbrella.... I'm groaning. This drought could go on for a few more years yet. They just cannot keep up their coverage at the rate it now is... I will go crazy...along with everyone that cares...

Hot and humid weather hey... oh I know it so well. I lived in the Northern part of my country for well over a decade and we had monsoon season rains there. It all comes at once... the joy of it!! lol...

Started out gorgeous and sunny, until I started to mow, then the black clouds rolled in and now we have even more rain and pending severe storms with the weirdest sounding thunder, ever. Swamp-ish like conditions keep increasing in the yard. Grateful for rubber boots. What I managed to mow will likely be as tall as the rest by tomorrow, again. I swear I can almost hear it growing.

@Tornadic Thoughts - now you must know by now that if you get that mower out if will rain during or straight afterwards lol :confused:

Sunny but chilly day. Grey clouds scooting across the sky on their way to someone else who is really lucky. :)
