Astrology --
revisit birth chart at times when trying to make sense of characteristics, trying to remind myself of innate abilities, strengths and challenges (which a chart can indicate)
This as well as Myers Briggs/Human Design personality based stuff has been really useful when lost in the CPTSD. It has helped me to locate a sense of who I am that is not totally caught up in and consumed by CPTSD. Although its important for me to acknowledge that 'who I am' within the framework of these tools is heavily influenced by social conditions but is not solely determined by them. Discovering I had strong INFP qualities (MyersBriggs) has also helped me a lot working with and for/others. It's supported me in being much clearer about what I can bring and being able to articulate it
Tarot --
God I love tarot. I do this simply to receive guidance. I'm not sure how it has helped me with CPTSD. I'm not sure it has but it does give me a sense of connection to something that is of me and greater than me. It provides a sense of being guided (if only I would listen) This sense of a force out there has been and continues to be super helpful for me on my oath. There are times when I also use it to dissociate. I am not suggesting doing this is healthy, in fact it can amount to spiritual-psychic abuse. I will say there are times when this has been a way of safely soothing - connecting with a 'loving parent' via symbols, shapes, colours, numbers
Ritual --
I've engaged in ritual practices intensely in the past and found them very helpful transforming reality, unhelpful negative thought-feeling forms etc.
It's also helped with feeling that connection to something greater, through engagement with the elements, nature. Nature is a big healer for me and there is nothing like regular ritual work with the elements to connect me with its medicine
Numerology --
This has also helped me to make sense of life cycles and understanding some of the medicine and poison I carry that astrology can bring too
Overall, these tools help me ground, connect, which mind sound strange to others but its just how some of us get than anchoring. They also help me to articulate things that I have not managed to give shape and sound to yet, and they provide a map of some kind
