People who think animals don't have emotions are crazy. Poor puppy. My husband puts up the phone to my cat and he'll, the cat, start to purr and rub against the phone. My Buddy, mixed terrier, looks around for me. My husband says she looks at him like, okay where did you put mom? Zoey might like to have something that smells like your daughter near her bed. I know my Buddy likes that. Zoey is a doll by the way!

I think I'm going to have to get skype! ;)

How did Max get hurt?

That is a good question - I have no idea.

I let him and Saffi into the garden. They both ran to the top of the garden chasing a squirrel (which was well out of their reach), next thing Max comes back and just lies down in the snow. I called him in and noticed a little blood on his hair. On a closer inspection it was quite a deep hole.

I can only think that maybe he jumped onto the compost heap and because of the snow misjudged the height and caught himself somehow.

I could hardly believe it, I mean, I was stood watching both dogs.

I feel so drained.

Zoey might like to have something that smells like your daughter near her bed.

My daughter has a favorite soft blanket that she snuggles with on the sofa when she is watching TV. Zoey snuggles with it when my daughter isn't here...both this weekend and during typical weekdays while my daughter is at school. Zoey has lots of blankets but she REALLY likes to snuggle into my daughter's blanket.

I've just phoned the vet. Max is just coming round from his second surgery. They will phone me later with an update.

We have two cats. One is very sweet and cuddly, and not interested in playing. That's Atticus. The other is very playful and not really interested in cuddling. That's Ninja.

C, our 6 year old, loves to play ninjas with Ninja the cat. They run through our home "hiding" from us. Also, Ninja can open every door in our house. There are several with scratching posts in front of them so that he doesn't open them. One night, in a fit of energy, he jumped from the couch to the door jamb and suspended himself there, halfway up, holding on for dear life.

Vacuuming becomes an Olympic event here. Blanco hates vacuums or anything that has an engine attached to it, we will NOT mention what he tried to do to the roofers diesel truck.

Max is coming home:tup:. KP is doing little excited dances with Saffi.

The vet phoned to say that the knee joint doesn't look as if it has been punctured or damages. He doesn't even need a drain, the vet has closed the wound.

H will pick him up on his way home from work, oh, and pay the bill :(. I can't wait to see my baby.
