Diagnosed a little over 2 1/2 years.
Married
In group therapy
Abused as a child and couldn't get help because people thought I was making it up because "those stories are too fantastic"
Married a severely mentally abusive man and couldn't get away for 7 years.
Have a new family member who accidentally plays with triggers every time we talk and we have to talk often
Seriously thinking of having myself committed

Hi Autumn and welcome to the forum. I'm sorry that you're struggling so much right now. Are you in individual therapy as well? Do you have a trauma therapist? If you're really struggling to keep yourself safe, sometimes hospitalization is the best option.

I recently moved to a small town and the only place here doesn't handle PTSD, the only thing I could find is a group that deals with adult women from dysfunctional families but the counselors aren't trained enough to handle anything but childhood trama

If people only knew.

I didn't tell anyone about the stuff that happened to me as a kid because my mom started early and that left me mute to some things.

I always felt that my experience was nothing because my mom didn't leave marks. She was proud of that. She was proud she didn't leave marks.

I felt that my experience wasn't so bad because I survived. I wasn't like these kids who were left so damaged by their parents that they were doomed.

So, what proof did I have? What reasons did I have? What excuse did I have?
