Backknobber II

Since losing my physical health due to injury incurred in Traumatic events, I have not known how to begin to work with my body again. I mean, I made the cut for the '76 Olympics in swimming and suddenly I was incapacitated and bedridden. I have just stayed dys-associated from my body.

I got this Backnobber II for Christmas and I've just been nobbing away on myself. I can do it laying down and it seems to anchor me back to my body.

The Backnobber II is curvy apparatus for relieving trigger points. It should show up in any search engine. I got mine from amazon.com. Since I've had so many physical injuries that disconnected me from my body and put me through years of surgeries that went in tandem with my psychological injuries (Trauma), I have not known how to feel certain parts of my body. I am way too Traumatized to be able to endure any type of body work like massage or rolfing or even yoga. This is just a tool I've found helpful to me and it was only about $25 US dollars.

Just did a search for the backnobber - and watched a short video. I've never heard of this device before, but it looks interesting. I have a lot of back problems and go to a chiropractor and massage therapist regularly. I'm wondering if this thing could help me too.

I'm not sure if a Backknobber is such a good idea for you.

Like a gun or a machete; a Backknobber, in the wrong hands, can also be very dangerous.

I would recommend that you first try something like a rolling pin, or a spatula, or even the original Backknobber; before you go messing around with the Backknobber II.

Interesting Trivia Fact

I just did a Google search on the word, Backknobber, and it turns out that, Backknobber, is also the name of a Polish horror movie that came out in the late sixties.

The Backknobber is also a mythical figure in Romanian culture - not unlike Dracula. The legend goes that he was a sexual deviant who had injured his back in a monastic belling tolling competition (during the dark ages). Left permanently hunched over, the Backknobber would roam the streets of medieval Prague each night, gratifying his unusual sexual proclivity by assaulting the backs of unwitting pedestrians; thus earning the ominous title, Backknobber.

I can't believe that you've actually given your Backknobber a name (Nobber). That's awesome.

I've named mine as well...

The one that I use on my upper-back is called Diego.

The one for my mid-back is Ramirez.

And, the one for my lower back is called Bob.
