I'm in the states, North Carolina USA. I've never actually had an ANZAC biscuit. I'd love to read a detailed analysis of one.

Anzac biscuits are made with rolled outs, coconut, flour and lots of yummy golden syrup. It depends on how you make them and your taste as to whether they are crunchy or chewy in the middle. I personally love them chewy in the middle.... mmmmm. My hubby and son go mad for them when I make them, they don't last very long! They were originally made for soldiers during the world war as they kept better I think than some biscuits... and I think maybe the rolled outs gave more energy, not sure.

Hope the Hike was good RussellSue without any pain? Hope you have a good Day?!
Thanks!

My day is has been good because hubby is with me but I need to call my primary care tomorrow and start trying to figure out the nerve issues I am having. I am getting stronger which is an improvement over last year but just in the last 3 days or so my nerve pain has gotten a lot worse. It's weird because it's my femoral nerve which seems to be causing pain in my groin, crotch, and leg. That's the nerve that I thought just recently started doing better since I have had better hip flip flexor recruitment in the last couple of weeks. As far as I know, I wasn't having pain from that nerve this whole time - it's been about 15 months since I tore my hip labrums - but now that I'm not dragging that foot and my leg is getting stronger, I am? I have some theories about why that might happen and my activity over the last week and a half has been pretty abnormal with the addition of several new exercises, a wobble board, and probably the most likely aggravator: me laying down on my stomach with a lacrosse ball trying to target my psoas muscle because it was cramping, but I need to talk to a specialist. The pain is suddenly surprisingly noticeable considering how much gabapentin I am taking.

The hike turned into a power walk by the river because we had a dead battery this morning and a dead battery in our jump starter and we got a late start. But it was pretty good. Sitting down is a much bigger problem than walking at the moment.

How are things with you?

@RussellSue you ever had low dose benzos for your hip pain? I ask because we have loads patients with nerve pain in those areas caused by muscles seizing up. So sometimes benzos work better than painkillers. I dunno your medical history tho obv so 🤷🏻‍♀️
No, I never have. I stopped taking benzos before I hurt myself. That is interesting. I didn't know they worked for that.

Thanks for the info!
