I live in NC USA, halfway between FL and NY. Also 225 miles inland. This morning when I opened my window a bit, there was the aroma of coming spring. This is the trees releasing through their opening buds, a bit of necatar or sap. It is a very gentle fragrance, one that a smoker or someone with less than an acute sense of smell would notice. None the less, it is such a delightful aroma! Also, we have a tonado watch, so there is a good gustiness going on as well. It is a great day to sit by the window, but not to be outdoors! Too dangerous...

Woke up to little balls of ice pouring from the sky. They look like little Styrofoam balls used for packing, blowing across my yard. Sidewalk a bit crunchy to step on. Now it appears that it is snowing. Great, now the walks and roads are going to be slick. Thankfully I am inside.

A little while ago, it was rainting outside, but indoors too. My dear, sweet, lovely, quiet (NOT!) neighbor's toilet overflowed and all that yucky rusty water came down into my bathroom through the ceiling light. MAN! Now my house smells of Clorox, after I disinfected and sanitised as best as I could, sigh...

Sun with blue sky and it is going to be probably in the sixties today. It is not so cold and it is not windy, just breezy.

Humid weather and bouts of rain.

The flooding has begun subsiding in Queensland. I go home to NSW on Sunday.
