Current Weather

We will b moving and though we have had a water view for 7 years I am happy to get away from the weather here. The wind buffets the house often as though the roof would blow off and it's freezing. A snow squall just blew through here and I can see the sky clearing in the west. The wind is howling. My wife says she'll miss the view, I said I'll put up a bird feeder. The last place we lived I had a bird feeder and a bird bath with a fountain that made a little waterfall that was at least as much fun as looking at the water. That one really great thing about it is it so windy there are no bugs here no spider webs all over the place and no mosquitoes no ticks. We hope to stay in town but it's up in the air still. We will c where the wind blows us.

Though it was windy 'ashore' this morning it blew the usual hurricane here. The way the houses are situated, there is a wind tunnel at the bottom of our front stairs and I literally had to be careful just trying to stay on my feet getting to the car door this morning. Then pulling it open, the force of the wind is so severe I was afraid the handle would break in my hand and move quickly to get my hand inside the actual door. We've been here several years and sadly a month ago on a worse night my wife made the mistake of pulling the car up the wrong way in front of the house. $1500 damage, $1000 deductible. She couldn't have held the door if she tried. Nope, not gonna miss the waterfront at all. It's still blowing, and often does for days on end, followed by a wind switch and a fresh gale.
