Grey, light rain, not very cold

Beautiful sunny, ice cold weather. Clear blue sky. Shortest day of the year today so tomorrow will begins the slow climb out of winter.

It’s not that hot out, just a 30* degree increase overnight following months of sameness, and my body is all -ahem!- faaaaawk you.

Rained steadily from 0300 hrs right through the day and currently it's almost 1900 hrs and still coming down. Yay! :) I am so incredibly happy to see such a good fall. It's freezing outside but not too cold to stop the rain. So do not mind at all.

RAIN.

They are calling for 10 days of rain. Yesterday was day one and we have lots of flooding already. A bridge nearby crumbled away. A parking lot filled with brand new vehicles flooded and the cars and trucks are probably ruined. The river near us is overflowing and now has massive rapids. The highway is also flooded. Oakland county dumped 375 MILLION gallons of sewer water into the Clinton River which flows into Lake St. Clair. The beaches are closed because of it.

What a mess.
