Was it a really DRY heat? (It’s weirdly easy to make ice in the desert).

Humid AF. Hot air, water vapor, season change, and the universe putting it all in the blender.

Went on a night walk. Cold and the sky was so clear. Winter stars are the best stars. Jupiter looked as bright as Venus. Sirius looked like a helicopter—so bright. The Pleiades hovering over Taurus—beckoning

we had our family thnksgiving dinner 2 days after the holiday and it was worth the wait. nice sunny 55 degrees after 3 days of steady drizzle and rain here. Out door stuff with 5 grandkids, walks and a campfire and tractor rides in the last week of November, I’ll take it.

Chinook. - Warm wind from the coast comes over the Rocky Mountains, gets deflected down under the heavier cold air and we went from around -10C to +4 C overnight. It will end today and be back to around -10, -15 C

Got down to -11 last night (fahrenheit; -24 for all you centigraders out there) at almost the exact time I had to take the garbage and recycling down the driveway to the street. Overheating under all the layers I was putting on before I could get outside, but that's fine: didn't need a second scarf layer. Right now it's a balmy +14 (-10C). Just a little snow here and there in the forecast.

atmospheric river. atmospheric river. at moss fear ick reevir. I dont remember the first time i heard this term but i remember living here in the northwest corner of the US for a long time without hearing it. the weather is the same but heavy continuous rain isnt called heavy continuous rain anymore. Its an atmospheric river now. After the tenth time it is said during a forecast i kind of get the picture and glaze over i guess.
