We are waiting on Hurricane Irene here in the Northeast. People are starting to panic

That makes me realise I shouldn't moan about it being a bit wet and breezy - take care Sammy (and any one else effected by weather extremes).

I'm off to France next week for 16 days

Lucky you, KP. I'm jealous now :p. I love France - have a fab time.

Warm and humid. Air is still and calm. Kinda creepy knowing we are under a tropical storm warning. We are lucky to be inland a bit and not needing to evacuate. Others are getting hit much harder than what we expect. All prepared and waiting. Just hoping we don't have trees coming down on the house. Anxiety is high.

It can't really make its mind up at the moment.

It was raining really hard 15 mins ago, now we have bright evening sunshine.

It is a beautiful afternoon here; sunny, 81 degrees, with low humidity and a nice 14 mph breeze. It is one of the first comfortable days we have had weather-wise in quite some time. :) I am inside but have the window open and I am really enjoying the fresh air and sunshine.:D

I'm with Sammy waiting on Hurricane Irene.

I have this magic rock though that tells the weather. It the rock is wet, that means it's raining, it the rock is white that means it's snowing, if the rock is dry it means the sun is out. Now I can add if the rock blows away we are in the middle of a hurricane!:roflmao:

:eek:95 degrees and getting hotter, but next week will bring rain and cooler temps...I will be happy to see fall weather arrive in the bluegrass.:)

Tornado watch, severe thunderstorm watch, flood watch, flash flood watch all in effect today... Lee has given us 4 inches of rain in the last 18 hours. Looks like it's not in any hurry to go north and is gonna hang around a bit longer than anticipated. At least for us here in NW Florida. But it's better than a hurricane.

The temperature has cooled down. Now we can leave the windows and doors open and get all the fresh air we want. This allows Bright to carry his toys outside and play to his heart's content. Maybe we can make another bonfire tonight.

It is now 7.40 am. I have been up about and hour and then it was lovely and bright out. Now I am having to put the light on, as it has gone rally dark with heavy rain threatening clouds.

Oh gee thanks, bang goes my idea of getting hubby out for walk again this morning. :rolleyes: He is allergic to rain water. :roflmao:
