The definition of complex PTSD is very confused.

Verbal abuse can cause mental illnesses, not necessarily PTSD. If the verbal abuse is a detailed threat of bodily harm it could be?

The way I understood is that PTSD can be triggered by a culmination of several one-time events, but the actual PTSD symptoms are then related to >one< of the events.

Otherwise it would be C-PTSD.

Please, by all means, do correct if I'm wrong. Don't mean to spread misinformation, but do want to understand :)

It should be noted that the ICD11 was only JUST pre-released for approval a month ago, (the 2017 date was pushed) so more and more people are going to be provisionally Diagnosed the closer we get to the actual publication date.

ICD-11 will be presented at the World Health Assembly in May 2019 for adoption by Member States, and will come into effect on 1 January 2022. This release is an advance preview that will allow countries to plan how to use the new version, prepare translations, and train health professionals all over the country. WHO releases new International Classification of Diseases (ICD 11)

I have found all kinds of articles like that.
It's no wonder so many people are claiming PTSD that have no real crit A trauma.
