Extremely Anxious

So,

I'm extremely anxious about the appointment that Sheba has in about an hour and a half.

I got to leave work a little earlier because I was and am near tears as I feel I may need to make a painful decision which I am hoping will be confirmed at this appointment. If my gut is right, I will be calling out tomorrow. I am hoping I am overreacting although I am not sure since I don't want to lose Sheba, but I don't want her to continue to suffer either. I will update this post when I know more...

I am sooooo sorry Geordie, I know what it is like to be in that boat as I did that once with a dog with cancer. It is THE hardest situation to be in as a pet owner. You are in my thoughts and prayers and I am hoping the vet has a solution that will allow Sheba to not suffer and you keep her for a while longer!

The good news is, she's not in pain and isn't suffering as I was thinking. (PTSD overdrive?) Anyway she is on medication for a while and will likely be on Rimadyl later. She's perky and mobile. So, I am doing doing better!

I am so glad your loved one is still with you. You can fit a thousand lifetimes in one day. I wish you many thousands of lifetimes with your Sheba.

Basically She has degenerative Disc Disease.

Even though she's 10 years old, she's older then me by 20 years (65)!
