Having A Rough Time

I am working with my T on my CSA and well I'm poking the sleeping bear. A random chair in a pic I saw made me feel something terrible. I started crying and feeling like I was going to vomit. I'm having these thoughts that I don't want to think about. I keep pushing them away. I feel scared. I know I am okay, just having a rough night alone.
 
Being gentle with yourself while you poke the sleeping bear, is a helpful thing to do; you get to take harbor in a safe place between the poking episodes.

You put to words so well, how thoughts and memories come alive, and the effort and courage that it takes to deal with the processing and healing.

Yes, you will be all right; and it is nice to touch base with others. Glad you did. Take care.
 
I agree with finding a safe place. That's hard for me but my therapist keeps reminding me of safety too...feeling safe, calmed, comforted, etc. Helps to wrap up in a soft blanket, hold my cat or a teddy bear. Also very often I do well with just distracting myself with things I enjoy, like puzzles or artwork or good music. Hang in there and use what helps you feel safe and also what helps you feel okay.
