I Am Going Back To Work Tomorrow

LOL Amethist. They were in the cupboard where my coats hang, under my work fleece (which had fallen off it's hanger). It's not quite a cupboard under the stairs (because I don't have one), but it is my little cupboard in the hall, where I keep the ironing board, coats, lightbulbs, bit and bobs!! All the rest of my boots/shoes live in my wardrobe in the bedroom.

(sorry to anyone else reading this - but Amethist had a spooky prediction where I would find my boots in a PC!! She's majic and mystic!! She was so right!!!)

You did find them where I said to look. I don't know your home as I have never been, but was going to say the cupboard near your stairs, but said under instead.

Going for a lie down now LOL. Get over the shock.

No - not joking!! My computer is actually under the stairs in an open plan living room (in a very small house!). But My cupboard in the hall is the equivalent, to a traditional british 'cupboard under the stairs'! Hoover, ironing board, lightbubs, shoe cleaning kit, iron, carrier bags etc etc..... think I need a lie down too. But that could be down to the 'shock' of a 12 hour shift. You will not spook me!! LOL!!

I'm so pleased for you. I'm in a simalar situation except I'm not up to work full time. I'm waiting for my appeal date against redundancy (end march).

Don't know if I have the strength to fight it, the union are helping but so much is dragging me down.

I'm so pleased to read there is a solution.

After 4 day shifts "3rd manning" (following a crew around, but not doing much else!), I have completed my first night shift, done some driving (I still love the thrill of those blue light emergency drives!), and have looked after some patients, done all the appropriate paperwork and feel a bit more confident walking into the emergency department (as a care giver, rather than a patient!)

Small steps, but equally giant leaps compared to where I was a month ago. Think I'll have a bit of breakfast, then head to bed..... tired, but proud of myself
