Ok, I guess I didn't update this when it all went wrong
I only managed 5 weeks back at work. The night shifts played complete havoc with my insomnia, despite sleeping tablets, so I have been off work again since the middle of March. One night shift was ok, but when I had 2, or 3 in a row, I didn't get hardly any sleep between shifts.
So I guess this should be
I'm Going Back to Work - Part 2
I had a work meeting on Friday, and the result is, that all being well, I go back to work next week :D.
My management have got the go-ahead to change my work team. In a month I will be mostly working 10 hour shifts 7am-5pm, some 12 hours shifts 10am-10pm, and 10 hour twilight shifts 5pm-3am (but only 2 in a month). This is a change from working 12 hour day, and 12 hour night shifts, that rotated so quickly, we always did both day and night shifts every week. They have also said that they will do what they can to reduce my twilight shifts for the first few weeks, and also allow me shift changes or leave so that I can still go to therapy every Tuesday morning. My new team leader seems to be lovely, (despite not being my team leader at the time, and only having met her a couple of times in February, she has texted and called me several times). Especially bearing in mind I have been off work pretty much for a year, and my current/ old team leader hasn't contacted me once in that time!
So waiting to see what happens tomorrow, as to when exactly I start, but my GP has agreed to sign me fit from Monday. Last time I had about 11 hours between coming out of a meeting and starting work. I won't allow that to happen again, hence my GP signing me fit from Monday - at least it gives me a few days to get my head around it!!
