I went this morning and have had initial work towards dental implants.
Some of my teeth were broken in my car crash. Nearly one year on it is time to tackle the gaps which were left. My H is away so I had to do this solo, him giving phone support.
The implant specialist is v good and a sweet guy. He understands my fears and puts me at ease. I can relate to him and I think this is key. I asked for help on the forum and members had some great techniques. I went for listening to a book on my iPod before going into the surgery, and breathing and grounding exercises.
Everything went well, and now apart from feeling like a stroke victim complete with drooling I'm OK. Pleased I did it. So in a couple of weeks it will be back for implant number 2.
Feel the fear and do it anyway.
