You deserve a lot of applause for showing up. Groups can be intimidating because it is yet another environment where you are expected to put yourself out there and trust others to react kindly. Feeling safe may take time but even if you never say anything there is healing in the company of other survivors, a gentle exchange on the way out and so on.
