This isn't so much an accomplishment (yet) as an impending accomplishment - lol.
There's an organisation in Perth, WA called Angel Hands that support people affected by homicide and serious personal crimes - don't know if anyone here has heard of them? They have a "Hope and Healing" night once a month, and I've finally gotten up the courage to go to one of these evenings. I'm totally proud of myself for this. Me? Leave the house? Socialise? What??
Anyway, I'm hoping that just being with like-minded people actually in person might help me overcome some of my fears of leaving the house and being around people. I figure at least one person there probably has the same issues I have, or has had them in the past, so if I freak out, they'll get why.
