Yeah I know ... it is hard. you know the VA has a rule on medications that are not in the formulary. If you try 3 drugs of the same type with no decent results you doctor can obtain drugs off the list for you. That's a little known rule that the VA tries to keep quiet on so they can keep costs down.

Thanks Brother, I did not know about the 3 drugs of the same type rule. I do like getting in some faces at the VA, but only when I am in the know. ;) They don't like it and try and tell me I'm wrong. So I say OK lets put this in writing, with your name on it and send it up the chain. Oh I want a copy as well.....Next thing that happens is let me check with my boss. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: I look at going to the VA as I would, if I were going to fly a combat mission.....I am a very nice guy when dealing with them. But I will not take any of there shit....This one works, I take out a small pocket note pad and ask them for their name. Now that screws them stupid....:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

there it is in black and white. It looks like even I was lied to that three meds prior to going off the formulary is not needed. the doctor just need to say you get to.

Print that off and take it in. Jam it up their ass. Its insane to think that only the medications THEY choose are ALL you need. VERY arrogant in my view.

Red, I had yet to read your link. But was told by my Doc that he could write me an Rx for anything the VA did not have. BUT, I would have to pay for it out of my pocket......Please don't feel bad, it's that we all are dealing with snakes at the VA.
