To Stillscared - Like I said, for some people it isn't right and they just shouldn't use it if it gives them a bad experience. And it's not wrong for me to say some people were forced into rehab, because I know some of those people, and they did not need to go because it made their lives progressive. But by saying it is a drug, for one adds to the propaganda of it. Like that commercial where the girl just melts into the couch. Yeah, that's what happens to everyone when they smoke... They melt into couches or they forget to walk their dog. I smoke all day every day, I work at an animal shelter(not high) get my job done, come home and to unwind instead of taking a seriously addictive and harmful drug like oxycontin... I smoke weed. For A LOT of us it's a safe alternative where we aren't being self destructive.
But when you make claims like 'its addictive' that means (by everyone else on Earth) that it is assumed to be a physically addictive drug. By the way, it is not a drug which that claim further adds to the crusade against marijuana. But back to the addictive part - I have been addicted to oxycontin, alcohol, cigarettes, and morphine, and Oxycodone. All of those things were an actual addiction. You say you had an addiction to alcohol, so you must know the kind of addiction I am talking about. The physical one. The aches, the pains, the outbursts, when you want it more than you want food in your stomach. Marijuana does NOT do any of those things, but there IS propaganda out there to make us believe that there is. The type of 'addictive habit' marijuana is, is the same addictive habit like everything else on Earth that is an addictive habit. Driving for example, I LOVE to drive. Does that mean I need to go to rehab for driving? No. But if there is someone out there who doesn't like to drive and prefers to take the bus or car pool, then fine. At least they are getting where they need to go.
But that's the only bill of 'addiction' marijuana fits under. The one that any thing you do can fit under. It's unfair for you to smite it when I have three NON violent friends that have had their lives ruined because they were selling weed to their friends. I was involved in the raid, and I had a gun pointed in my face. Later, as we were detained on the porch, they made jokes about how they almost shot my friend because he was moving too slowly. My other friend? He actually got shot. He's f*cking dead. And why? Because he was selling pot. No other drugs were involved, period. What's more dangerous? A plant that makes you hungry (or paranoid, and then you stop because you don't like the feeling) or a f*cking gun?
I'm so sick of people being degenerative about marijuana. It's ruined the lives of my friends. They have felonies now. They can get jobs at a local diner and that's about it. We live in a college town, and no one is going to hire a felon. It should be legal and alcohol shouldn't be. Alcohol kills people. It either slowly kills the person drinking it, or it kills them because they've drank too much, or it kills the other person in the car accident, or it makes them violent and they brutally attack someone. Weed doesn't do any of those things. But the media makes you think it does.
Don't listen to everything your Doctor or your Rehab Therapist tells you. Most of them are in on the whole war against weed(that's what it is, it's not a war against drugs, it's against weed) because that means they make more money.
