Sufferer Ongoing ptsd from childhood & recent trauma.

Hello everyone,

I am a 58 year old female new here. I don't know when my PTSD started because there is so much from my sad childhood, but I was officially diagnosed in the year 2000 for PTSD and Major Depression. The latest horror happened due to my family of origin which I will explain in a later thread. I have had some pretty severe trauma and I wish I didn't have to deal with it and I wish I could just enjoy life instead. So now I sit here depressed and no money to go to therapy. Sometimes I just wish I could turn an off switch on PTSD.

I'm 56 next week and your not alone. I'm also new here, I'm hoping I can help other by sharing my coping strategies through mindfulness and Art. The Art massages my soul, it feels restful and my stomach and fear are lifted, until that is I have to put down the paint brush or pencil. So I hope that helps
