I have PTSD and live in the Portland area. I am just looking for someone who might understand.

I'm in Central Oregon - I could drive over the mountain for a visit sometime (but not when there's snow!) It would be great to meet some friends that understand what life's like with ptsd.

Is this still an active group? I have lived all over the portland area, salem too, now I live in the middle of nowhere but somewhere isn't too far. If anyone from the portland crowd sees this, send me a pm and let me know if the meet ups went well and if there are anymore planned please. I can carpool, or join in a potluck or lead a nice walk in the mid valley or just bring along really friendly dogs.

I am afraid that the social anxiety and trust issues we suffer makes this all a bit like herding cats, but I promised my therapist a long time ago that if I ever caught the eye of someone that also had that "I don't trust you and might dislike you" look in their eye I would go over and introduce myself by explaining that I also didn't trust anyone and only the fact that I don't know you yet keeps me from thinking I hate you already- lets be friends!
