In the past, here in the UK I have taken Rory in with me for intimate examinations, and I have also held his hand when HE has had intimate examinations. I just don't take no for an answer!!

I seize up as well at the gynaes. I hate having to have a smear, but it is so important for your health to get checked.

The scratching burning pain, I get this too sometimes. Do you have any scar tissue there? I do and I find this is what causes the pain. Sometimes it is not triggered psychologically though, I wake up sometimes feeling it. I thought perhaps it could be endometriosis, but it doesn't bleed and my periods are fairly light because I am on birth control pills.

I am wondering if maybe sometimes nerves can get damaged and sometimes they get all tingly as they are not working properly due to damage which causes pain even when there is nothing there.??

I don't discuss this side of it with my T because he is a man :oops:, although he knows I'm on the hormones - I told him by text!!

Lol. I guess telling him by text is better then nothing at all. I have found talking with my T about such things very helpful. He is very knowledge and understanding.

An alternative medicine suggestion: Frankincense Oil breaks up scar tissue and regenerates nerves, you could rub some over the navel area, vagina, or even dip a tampon in the oil and insert it - an anti-bacterial oil like Clove or Tea-Tree could be added to the mix too, keep the area clean and free of infection or yeasts during healing.
