Return to work?

I'm considering trying to find a job. My family is so strapped it feels miserable being on SSDI. Hopefully someone will hire me. My ticket to works all used up. I think they should have some other program, rural areas use up the ticket too easily! My job skills are mostly out of date. With mental and physical problems I don't know how to support my family more than very basic needs. So frustrated.

Work is weighing heavy on my mind, too. I don't feel ready but the mortgage company doesn't care.

I don't understand what you mean about tickets. Does this mean you're not able to get disability pay?

Ticket to work let's you work and make decent income without losing disability. After certain period you lose ticket, even if no longer employed. I feel they need to consider letting you renew it. When I lived in rural area work was only available when mine was going. I'm still disabled, middle aged and vocational rehab says no ticket to work no assistance.

That doesn't make sense to me, unless it's been determined that you're able to work, thus no longer qualified for disability.

I was denied disability by the government. Thank goodness I have insurance through work. I don't know how much longer they'll cover me, though. :(

I'm still disabled, seizures, PTSD and deformed arm. Just would like to support family better.
