Hello!! I’m not really sure what to say here. I’m a 22 year old woman who was diagnosed with PTSD when I was 18. My brother was violent towards me my whole life, verbally too. My first memory that I can recall is him punching me in the nose and it just bleeding. When I was 16, he assaulted me. This assault was the cause of my PTSD. It was hell after, but even so I’ve struggled this whole time accepting my diagnosis. I downplay my trauma so much but when it hits me, it hits me. So so hard. Anyways, I’ve been looking for support from other sufferers, idk.
