Will you be putting the Media section back up? I loved listening to music that has helped others as it was helping me as well.

No. It was rarely used, many videos posted become broken due to changes at the video, either removed, country blocked or embedding disabled. The system resources used to run it compared to how much it got used, simply did not equate. It had 12 videos added in the last month, and often less than that other months. There were a handful of people who would check it and listen to videos, which are already publicly listed at YouTube and such.

The real estate cost it had here for navigation and resources, simply didn't add up overall as viable.

All the stickies at the start of each forum have gone. Is this a consequence of the changes to display the latest threads on the home page?

Yes, I believe that is the case Stenni, see post #5, #6. Stickies have been removed, so only new content is displayed on the home page.

And it was intended that they be removed form all forums as well as the home page? So that for instance, BloominWinter's brilliant post "Inside Our Heads - What's Going On In The Therapy Room" is no longer a sticky on the Therapy forum.
It does have some advantages - I was searching for what used to be one of Anthony's sickies in the same forum and found some useful posts of his from donkeys years ago

Does that mean we now need to bump to keep the valuable posts at the top for new members and for reference?

Does bookmarking show up for other users then? I thought it was just on my machine?

It isn't about others, but only you, in the case of what you find important.

But how will new members find the valuable threads?

I'm not sure relying on communal memory to point people to them as they ask will work in the long term. I'm not even sure that I knew what to ask when I first started reading here, and the stickies have been so beneficial in pointing me in the right direction. It would be a shame for others not to have that.

Should have looked here first. I thought the change was just me. The St/ex thing is gone too- is that part of the site improvement?
