I searched around for this, but couldn't find a similar thread.
I figured maybe it would be nice to create a thread in which people who are up for Skyping, can comment :) You don't have to give away your Skype name publicly (please don't). But it might be easier to find Skypers this way, the info exchange can be done through pm or any way you want.
That way, people who feel like talking can come to the thread, post a message, and contact each other for the details. They can also make their own ground rules if necessary, you can establish those in your post. For example maybe you don't want to discuss specific subjects.
I would suggest that the Skyping sessions are not an alternative to therapy. So while we can provide a listening ear to each other, nobody here is qualified to act as a therapist. We can talk about PTSD, but remember also that a change of subject, or simply discussing "silly" stuff or getting to know each other, can help.
I've been in chat plenty of times discussing absolute nonsense and I must say, it has been very refreshing . I will be getting my mic/headset this week, so from next week forward I'll be up for some banter.
If you have any tips, or anything to add, please go ahead
