well i just turned 65 and finally decided to put in for ptsd. has anyone ever heard of = Five Star Veterans Disability. they contacted me a while back and said they would do all the paper work for me. said it didnt cost anything, that is unless they had to fight it. fill out the VA PTSD questionnaire online and pretty much every question is a yes. i defiantly have it but im being told it will be a waist of time trying to prove, and get claim accepted. thats why im trying to find out about this Five Star Veterans Disability outfit.

Never heard of it. I agree with SheilaKathy. I think you should apply for disability via the Veterans Administration. Yeah, they can be a pain, but they are legit. Also Social Security.

Welcome to the forums... while you are waiting for answers, you are very welcome to come here and share. You will be supported and encouraged. A lot of Vets here, so they will respond also. Maybe be able to help. so hope to see you around when you feel comfortable.

@hotrod351 I did a little bit of looking, I didn't find anything about it being illegitimate. But, don't take my word for it.

Always be wary, especially when you are told something like not needing to prove a disability to receive benefits for disability.

Sadly, there are alot of bottom feeding scum out there that won't think twice about scamming a disabled vet.

If you have given them any information that is personal, such as your social security number, credit card numbers, government ID number. It would be a good idea to contact your bank, so they can alert you to any unusual activity such as large withdrawals, online purchases or other changes.

All that aside, welcome to the forum.

well come to find out there one of those places that only get paid if they win. sure would be nice to find some reviews on them. maybe they know what papers to file. anyway if nothing else im finding out more on my own because of them. i did receive some paper work from them and will be checking it over, might actually give me some information.

Hate that we sound paranoid about you being scammed. but well, we are paranoid:meh: But sounds like you do know what to do with the information you have been given. Please let us know what happens .

Certainly worth a try. As I said I didn't find anything in my search to suggest they aren't legit.

If all goes well for you, and they turn out to be an actually easier way to access ones VA benefits. Then yes please do report back. You'd likely be doing alot of other vets a favour.

Good luck, and thank you for your service.

Welcome to the forums!

I've generally been staying vary of anything that doesnt have a solid background, especially when it's something legal in concern. I hope that you don't get scammed, though.

Good luck and hugs
