Took A Huge Chance Tonight!!!!

Tonight I was on facebook and i deceided to post a general message on my profile. It was a message to see if anyone was interested in having a highschool girls night out at the casino in our city during xmas holidays. I have not seen most of these girls since highschool..that was over 20 years ago. I have had about 6 girls respond in 3 hours already. This is actually huge for me as this was when my father died and all of my trauma started. It will be huge reminders to see alot of my old friends...I was thinking about renting a room at the casino and having an actual time away for me...I am pretty proud of myself as it took alot of courage to put myself so out there. I did it and am really looking forward to it. There was a real reunion about two years ago and I was in a bad place and did not want to see anyone or have them see me. I think it will be a great night out. I have to pick an actual date..I will keep you all posted as to how it goes and how many responses I actually get. Who would have thought???:occasion:

Thank you for your kind words everyone...it will be fun!!!! I even emailed my best friend from highschool. We had an argument just prior to my back injury and stopped speaking. That was around the time I joined the forum. We even lived together in college. So..hopefully she wants to go! For a while my son and I used to go and stay with her and her family overnight once a week and then we had a blow out. Anyway, life is too short and I miss her. We have spoken through email a few times and the fight is pretty much over but the relationship still needs to be mended. Hopefully she reads it and can come. That would make my night to have her there. You know..it is funny..one of the girls that responded..she was a bully to me in grade school..not in highschool...said she would love to see me. It will be a great time. I am so glad I did this..now I have to figure out a date but that is a month away. It will really be something to look forward to. I will keep you all updated! Wow...social networking..what a great thing!:clap:

Those kinds of reunions are great. Sometimes they develop friendships that did not exist before and it is also very interesting how everyone have changed over the years.
