Triggered by ear infection?

I have an ear infection and it hurts really badly and I think the pain is triggering me. What do you think? Could it be that or is it something I'm just not aware of yet? Is it my new medications not working? Who knows?

Pain triggers me when it reminds me of abuse I've received. For example, a couple weeks ago, like an idiot, I turned too quickly too close to the corner of a wall, and hit my nose on it. It brought me back to the times that my psycho ex would punch me in the face, and hit my nose.

@Sweetleaf makes sense. I'm sorry you had to go through that. It is good to know that other people have similar experiences. I often think that I'm just insane and no one else is like me, that I'm alone. Thanks for helping me understand that I'm not crazy or alone :-)

It could also be filling up your stress cup and ability to tolerate distress.
