Hey people!

I'm visiting Indy this weekend. I don't know if any of you are from around there or lived there in the past, but if you do or have, I'd love to hear places/things to do that you'd advise I not miss out on.

Thanks! :)

I'm a Buckeye, so we're right next door. :)

The Children's Museum is awesome, and there is plenty in there for adults to see too. It can be crowded and loud though. My Vet is a gear-head and really liked going to the Motor Speedway/Hall of Fame Museum, but I've never been.

We also did one of these Brew Bus Tours... awesome if you are a beer drinker. http://indybrewbus.com/#_=_

Also, Fat Dan's Deli... mmmmm. Link Removed

@Noah

The Indiana Transportation Museum (www.itm.org), the art museum (the grounds are great in the spring) and the zoo are all good attractions. Eagle Creek park is a great place for trails and a picnic. Hope you enjoy your visit.

Another (ex) buckeye here. I also lived in Indy for about 18 months...but it's been a long time. If you're into eclectic shopping, eating, walking around - the Broad Ripple area is nice. There are (or used to be) a lot of interesting stores and outside dining. I also second the Children's Museum - even if you don't have kids, it's a pretty amazing place...and the zoo is very nice. Indy also has a vibrant downtown area that is relatively safe for a bigger city.
