What Did You Eat And Drink Last?

Last night, we had heirloom tomato sandwiches on g/f vegan buns with veganaise, red onion, basil leaves, and buttercrunch lettuce served with oven baked butternut squash "fries" seasoned with rosemary and cumin. Dessert was cinnamon/apple/chickpea/sunflower seed butter cookies.

So far today, it's been a couple quarts of water, a warm infusion of stinging nettle/ginger root/red clover, and soon to be a frozen jackfruit/banana/baby kale/wild plantain smoothie.

Not-exactly-Bahn-mí >>> i looooove ethnic markets. I used to do most of my shopping in the international district which is similar to ChinaTown except it’s pretty much every Asian country NOT China :P (& the docks), but then I used to live there, too. Happened to be passing through, so stopped at my favorite Asian French bakery. 2 baguettes for 89 cents! Whoop! As opposed to the regular store where they’re 4.59 apiece. SMH. Point being, I had bread :D Also lemongrass marinated meat in the freezer. Just didn’t have cilantro & daikon & carrot & jalapeño. Alas. C’est la vie.

Lots of water and the usual herbal infusion then some fruit/veggie juice hydration (carrot/celery/orange/ginger). Baked some garlic/dill g/f vegan buns yesterday and made some vegg salad with chickpeas and kala namak salt. Will be fixing vegg salad romaine lettuce boats topped with sun gold cherry tomatoes and kalamata olives for lunch and portobella mushroom burgers with butternut squash fries for supper. Definitely my new favorite version of an oven baked french fry.
